Claire and Nicholas are two souls that were meant to be together. Getting to know them in the lead up to the Wedding it was abundantly clear how deep, strong and sincere their connection is. Whilst planning their Wedding they were also preparing to leave the Country and travel around the world for a year, something you can imagine brings on some stress. But they seemed to manage it all, moving into a Caravan on Claire's family farm a week before their Wedding.
Nicks day started with his Best man organising a surprise trip to Royal Crown Barbers where Nick underwent a cutthroat shave. It looked so amazing I almost wished I was a bearded man so I could try it myself! Many miles away Claire was on her families strawberry farm in Toolangi beginning the process of getting ready with her Sisters and best friend. Fresh raspberries were picked to enjoy and more significantly fresh Roses from the garden planted in memory of Claire's sister Amanda. A touching and hopefully healing moment that connected old to new memories.
The Wedding was held at the charming Gum Gully Farm in Silvan with an outdoor ceremony speaking to Claire and Nicks love of the outdoors. Leading the ceremony was their close friend Julia who couldn't have shown more happiness at having the official role of formalising their union. Afterwards the Bridal party were treated with a wander around the beautiful farm surrounds including the curious deer who certainly have a taste for bouquets. I was so fortunate to take advantage of the setting sun with Claire and Nick and the talented cinematographer Scott sneaking away from the Reception for a drive to the top of the hill, spectacular!
Together Claire and Nick pour themselves into life and everyone around them. Their sincerity, warmth and support to others is a testament to them as people. I wasn't just lucky enough to share in this day with them but also now to call them friends. I await to hear what adventures they will get up to in life together.x
