When I met with Heather & James before their Wedding I was warned I wouldn't understand a word any of James family said, and that his mother Liz would take lots of photos. Strong Irish accents certainly did fill the room on the day, Liz was totally committed to taking lots of photos of her Son and everyone was absolutely dedicated to celebrating. Heather & James were surrounded by so many special family and friends with a large number of family members travelling all the way from Ireland, some for the first time. They had even hired a mini bus for a few weeks to manage all the airport runs and demands of being tour guides. This is the sort of people Heather & James are, very thoughtful, organised, dedicated to Family, and of course excited about spending the rest of their lives together.
The Wedding was held at the enchanting Montsalvat in Eltham, an old Artists Colony founded by Justus Jorgensen in 1934. The grounds and buildings are spectacular and from a Photographers perspective, almost overwhelming as you could easily spend a day exploring and taking photos rather than an hour. Lucky I had the talented Steven Wright along with me this time to ensure we had it all covered. Apart from being great company Steve put his love of landscape photography to beautiful effect and his confidence with the parameters of technology added another welcome element. I think we both left the day with images running through our minds, despite all those captured already!
Every aspect of Heather & James wedding spoke about them as a couple. It was a spectacular day in so many ways. From the relaxed and calm manner of all the Briday Party, being so welcomed by guests, to incredible backdrops and the good luck signs of ladybugs landing on both James & Heather at separate moments during the day, every moment spoke of a wonderful union and I believe what will be a very happy future. Thank you again for having Steve and I along and taking such great care of us. x
