Saturday 9th March 2014
The day began with me walking around the house taking photos to a great vibe. It was just the gals hanging out as if getting ready for a Party, helping each other with makeup, decisions over shoes, reminders to each other for all the things not to forget, and catching the escapee dog, Banshee. Right from the get go, this was a day where friendships were more like family and gratitude for what you have in life was celebrated.
Every part of the day was closely connected and involved people close to Angelie and Carl. Ange’s stunning gown was designed by her dear friend Rosanna Ford, Hair was done by her friend Staci, Make up by Katrina from Organica Eco Salon, Rings were designed and made by local talent Erin. K and guest contributed their own posie of flowers for the Ceremony & Reception. Everywhere you looked something had been contributed or was DIY. Guests gathered in the beautiful Garden at Carl’s Dad’s property in Traralgon, awaiting the arrival of the Jedi. Angelie was walked down the Isle by close friend Mark, to a large gathering of close family. I say Family, as to Carl and Ange everyone at their Wedding is part of their Family. Friends hold such a close and important role in their lives they are all considered Family.
The Ceremony was conducted by Ange and Carl’s old school Teacher giving the day another level of connection. Standing there, both in their Vans Shoes, Carl & Ange shared their vows to tears and smiles from all around. After the cutting of the ‘cheese’ Cake it was time to accompany the newlyweds on a wander around the Farm. Tyre swings, big white fluffy clouds and fluffy sheep… Some of which were Paddock pals with the very Lamb that graced the Dinner tables later that evening. From Paddock to Plate as they say! The evenings culinary delights were put together by Big Spoon Little Spoon, based in Warragul. Chefs Trevor Perkins and Leigh Marino brought awesome local Gippsland produce and made the meal suit the feel of a Sunday family Roast.
An absolute highlight of the evening was an impromptu flash song performance of ‘Love, Love, Love’ by The Beatles performed and sung by Ange and Carl’s friends. They had secretly organised and rehearsed the song and certainly blew the happy couple away with their heart rendering performance. Just amazing. It set the scene for what was to be a very musical night. Carl and Ange then surprised guests with their own performance of ‘I Will’ by The Beatles, their debut performance as a couple. Then it was over to ‘Rubbersoul’, the sensational Beatles Show who had everyone up and groovin’, none more than Ange who TOTALLY owned the dance floor!
Loved, Loved, Loved this Wedding!!!
